Significance of Lord Ganesh Statue
Lord Ganesh: The Hindu deity in a human form with the head of an elephant. He enjoys the pride of place in Hindu Religion as the Lord of all Lords. Also known as Amit (Incomparable Lord), Siddhivinayak (Bestower of Success), Vighnavinasha (Destroyer of all Obstacles Impediments), Lord Ganesh is the god of auspicious beginnings. Thus, he is honoured at the start of every rituals & ceremonies.
Head: Symbolic of auspiciousness, strength & intellectual powers.
Trunk: Symbolizes high efficiency & adaptability.
Hands: The right hand is in abhaya pose of protection, blessing & refuge. The left hand is holding a sweet (modak), symbolic of the sweetness of realised inner self.
Large Stomach: Symbolic of peacefully digesting all good & bad in life.
